For the final week of #CSAM15, the Learn Forward team had a great conversation with Michael Baumhardt, Associate Director of Student Activities & Student Organizations at the University of Miami. As an active member of both NASPA and NACA, Michael offers an interesting perspective on the role of professional organizations on one's personal and professional development.
Michael Baumhardt currently serves as the Associate Director of Student Activities & Student Organizations at the University of Miami (FL). He is responsible for advising Hurricane Productions and the over 200 events they annually provide for the campus. Prior to the University of Miami, he was employed for four years at The University of Scranton as their Assistant Director of the Center for Student Engagement. During his two years of graduate school, he was employed at Bowling Green State University (OH) as a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Campus Activities.
Michael obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater, his Master of Arts in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University, and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Scranton.
